Last June 8, 9 and 10, Quantic Brains had the privilege of being selected among thousands of candidates to attend the tenth edition of the South Summit as finalists of the startup competition. The strength of the Spanish startup ecosystem is growing, and this was palpable during these three days, while you moved between surprising and ground-breaking projects in terms of technology, market approach, and business strategy.
During the event, in the incredible facilities of "La Nave", we were able to approach different investors who showed interest in our artificial intelligence project applied to video games and animated films. And we also made many contacts between other startups with which I am sure we will end up collaborating in the future.
At Quantic we like risk and what can really change the rules of the game, and although the format was complicated for a deep tech project like ours (only 3 minutes of pitch + 1.5 minutes of questions), we managed to make a live demo, generating in that time an animated video with two characters talking about a topic that a member of the jury chose at the beginning of the pitch. I think we surprised the attendees, and more than one wondered how far we were going to go.
It has been an enriching experience for us both in terms of contacts, as well as general learning and improvements for the future, and I think I am not wrong if I say that we left there strengthened and with a clearer vision of the future of the company.
We cannot stop thanking the fantastic organizing team for their dedication and help, without which it would have been impossible for us to make our “magic”, and of course the well-deserved winners of the competition, whose projects inspire us to continue improving and perfecting our strategy.
With the support of Spanish institutions at local, provincial and national levels, which we have seen during the event, it is certain that the South Summit will continue to be a meeting point for innovation and entrepreneurship. And it will place us higher and higher in the position of interest for both national and international investment.
